From the ScanThru Main window, you can manually or automatically select the area to be scanned. Usually, you must make a scan at lower resolution to preview the whole picture, and then select the area for scanning.
To select the image area to scan, use the following steps:
  1. To make a low-resolution scan for previewing an image, click the Preview button.
  2. Click the Select  button in the toolbox.
  3. Your selection will be outlined by a dashed line.
To move the selection border, position the pointer inside the selection border, and drag the border to enclose a different area of the image.
To change the selection of an image area, position the pointer on the selection border, click the left mouse button and hold it while moving the cursor to change the selection. Release the left mouse button to finish changing the selection.
