Adding Text
To add some text to your label, click the Add Text button. A text box will appear on your label with the words [Type Here] in grey. Click your mouse on this text box to make it active. You can tell that the text box is active when you see a black box around it. Once active, you can begin to type your text.
Styles
You can apply a style to your text for fast formatting. The styles can be accessed from the drop-down menu underneath the Add Text button. The styles include Classic, Funky, Modern and Traditional.
The style concept is designed to streamline the label creating process. For each style, there are three pre-defined sub-styles. These are:
When you change the style using the drop-down menu, you will see that the sub-styles also change to reflect their new settings.
Applying Styles
To apply a style to existing text, first make the text box active, then choose the style from the drop-down menu. Once you have selected the style, click on either the Heading, Sub-Heading or Body buttons (below the drop-down menu) and the style will be applied.
Adding Images
To add images to your label, click the Add Image(s) button. The Locate image file(s) window will open. Navigate to and select the photo or series of photos that you would like to add, then click the Open button. Your images will be loaded into the top left corner of the editing area. You are now free to drag and drop your images wherever you like.
To delete an image, simply select the image and press the Delete key.
Note: To have the same image on different areas of your CD case (eg. the front of your case + the disc itself), the image needs to be added independantly for each template.
Aligning Images
To adjust the layer order of your images, first select the image you want to move, then hold down Ctrl+(-) or Ctrl+(+) to bring the image forward or move it to the back.
Background Color
To change the background color of a label, click the Set Background Color button and select the color you would like to use. Then click the OK button and the new background color will be applied to the label. For more color options, try using the Define Custom Colors >> button in the Color window.
Fetching disc contents
Disketch can read the contents of a disc in your computers disc drive and automatically add the file names to your label. This is handy for creating Contents lists. To add the contents of your disc to the label, click the Fetch Disc Contents button. Select the files you would like to add, then click the Add button.
